بسم اللہ الرحمان الرحیم
By the name of Allah, the one and the only source of innovation.
Husain, the founder of SUKOON, has been developing new ideas and establishing approaches in Psychology which are mainly based on "Intuition". Husain believes that intuition is the ultimate source of knowledge for human beings. He has labeled his school of thought with a name which could serve different explanatory purposes and would become public as an approach and practice. SUKOON is an Arabic word which is also frequently used in Urdu, Persian, Dari, Tajik, Pushto, Punjabi, Hindko and some other languages. The word has different but interlinked meanings e.g. calmness, comfort, peace of mind, equanimity, steadiness, self-control, serenity, peace, etc. Husain has further presented the word as an acronym in English and Urdu both the languages. SUKOON in English stands for "Sensory & Ultimate Knowledge On Observing Nature" and in Urdu it is "س ک و ن "سلامتی کے لیے وجدانی نفسیات In order to practice SUKOON, Husain founded an organization by the same name i.e. Sukoon. He is currently incorporating intuitive aspects into different areas in Psychology and providing novel approaches to resolve psychosocial problems and issues of concern. He further intends to establish new areas within Psychology and advocate for "Intuitive Psychology" to be known as a permanent feature of the subject.
