Sukoon Home of Wisdom has designed two short courses in English Language which enable the participants to learn the language in a minimum possible time frame. These courses also intend to make the participants confident enough to speak and write English.

Theme: Communicating in English is a common constraint in the professional development of several individuals and causes stress. This course intends to build their capacity in Spoken English.

Advanced English Language Course:

Theme: This course covers almost all aspects of English Grammar and provides practical skills to the participants to write effectively. Every participant is provided with individual attention so that s/he could learn a lot in a minimum possible time frame. This course is also recommended for those who want to appear in IELTS / TOEFL.
Desired participants: Those who can speak English; hence have difficulties in effective and grammatical writing.

Short Courses in Applied Psychology

These courses are usually designed for individuals with no educational background in Psychology. The courses facilitate them to understand the basic scientific ideas regarding mental health work and enable them to perform better.
The trainees can be linked with different international universities for further relevant studies via distance learning programs.

Professional Care Giving:

Caring for the aged require professional preparations to satisfy the requirements. This course is designed to serve the individuals involved in care giving in order to enhance their professional care giving skills. Moreover, it will also help them to understand their own needs and will sensitize them to take proper care of themselves as well. The duration of this course is 2 weeks (3 to 4 hours a day).

Psychological Counseling:
Counseling is an applied area of psychology which has the objective of helping people to live more effective and fulfilled lives. Its clientele tend to be not very seriously disturbed people in non-medical settings. The settings for provision of counseling psychology services include education, medicine, industry and numerous community and voluntary agencies. The current course is designed to provide basic skill of psychological counseling to relevant individuals. The duration of this course is 1 month (5 days a week; 2 hours a day).

Stress Management:
Getting worried too much about things causes stress in humans. It is a normal and very common mental state which we all want to avoid from. This brief course helps the participants in managing with their stress and helping others to cope with stress. The duration of this course is 3 days (2 hours a day)

Stop Smoking in 8 Days:
Many people want to quit smoking; however they don't have enough will power, self-management capabilities, and social support to perform this healthy operation. SUKOON provides them with an 8-day quit plan which guides them on the professional ways to stop smoking. The plan also involves the family and friends of the course attendee. The duration of this course is 8 days (30 minutes a day)

Communication Skills:
Effective communication always leads to success in every business of life. Conveying accurate messages and perceiving the words of others logically is not much difficult. This course is designed to enable the participants to overcome all possible linguistic barriers and to express their thoughts effectively. The duration of this course is 5 days (3 hours a day).

Problem Solving & Decision Making Skills:
Conflicts in thought processes cause stress and frustration which lead to several anxieties. To think logically and to act systematically is the main theme behind this course. It provides practical tools to the participants to resolve their personal and professional problems. The duration of this course is 1 day (5 hours)

Leadership:
Leading a team requires sufficient personal characteristics and abilities. Every human being has potentials to enhance his/her supportive qualities. This course enables the participants in enhancing their management skills in providing directions to others. The duration of this course is 5 days (3 hours a day)

Illogical thinking patterns lead to stress. Sukoon organizes a short course in Logic & Critical Thinking which is entirely free of cost for all. This course enables the participants to think, solve problems and take decisions logically. It is a precautionary measure to most of our psychosocial problems.

Vocational Training

Vocational skills, along with education, is highly required to improve the psychosocial condition of a society. Several individuals, especially women, prefer to get vocational training in order to support their families economically.
